The Masters is such a special tournament, and it is also arguably the easiest of the four majors to win. After all, it's the same course every year (good if you play it well and like it), has plenty of players in it who can't win (so does the PGA Championship) and rewards experience and consistency.
Augusta National is a place most watchers practically know by heart. What most don't realize is how challenging the sight lines and approach shots can be. Players must avoid three-putts at all cost.
Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top PGA Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2025 Masters rankings.
2025 Masters expert picks and rankings
1. Rory McIlroy: McIlroy has been amazing this year, winning twice before April for the first time in his career, including at Pebble and TPC Sawgrass.
2. Scottie Scheffler: Scheffler has caught up to some degree in terms of rounds played from the injury in the offseason. He's not as good as last year, but he's still really great.
3. Collin Morikawa: Morikawa has an excellent track record at Augusta National, and is second on the PGA Tour in strokes gained.
4. Xander Schauffele: Xander has been dealing with injury issues through the bulk of the year, but his game has been showing signs of coming back together to look like 2024.
5. Bryson DeChambeau: Bryson hasn't had his best stuff so far this year, but he seems to have found something just in time for the Masters, at which he seems to be getting more comfortable.

6. Sepp Straka: It sounds crazy to put Straka this high, but he's been tremendously consistent this year and has already won this season. He checks the boxes of a potential Masters winner.
7. Shane Lowry: Lowry has been among the best on the PGA Tour this season in terms of strokes gained, and he seems to thrive best on major stages.
8. Ludvig Aberg: Aberg is so up-and-down in this season that it's hard to support his futures pricing, but he did win at Torrey, and he clearly has major-level game.
9. Justin Thomas: JT is tantalizingly close to meeting a variety of criteria that tells of a Masters winner. Most will think of him for the PGA at Quail Hollow, but maybe think of him this week.
10. Jon Rahm: I don't think you can exclude Jon Rahm from any top 10 list. His LIV season has been good, having finished no worse than ninth in five events.
