PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.

Once again in 2025, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player must make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.

We continue our 2025 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational and Puerto Rico Open, concluding at the 2025 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

This week, we have the Arnold Palmer Invitational, with a 72-player field taking on Bay Hill.

Then we also have the Puerto Rico Open in Puerto Rico, with 120 players competing in the oppo event for a $4 million purse.

We almost had a tremendous week again. Daniel Berger was in excellent position through three rounds at PGA National, and then he sputtered off. If you had Joe Highsmith winning this thing, you're either psychic or were in last place in your league. Congrats either way.

This week, we have two events: API and Puerto Rico. API has some obvious picks for this event, and you just have to know how your league scores to make your picks. Puerto Rico is quite random, and guys have won out of nowhere in three of the last four years, only to go on and not do much with it.

My one-and-done recommendations fall into one of two categories: players who are in current form and those who have great course experience.

2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational One and Done picks

Course history

  • Scottie Scheffler: He's won here twice, and he's potentially playing his way into form. I can't take him at Players for a three-peat or at Augusta for a repeat.
  • Keegan Bradley: Bradley is a top-11 machine here, and he's show some good signs.
  • Harris English: English could be an intriguing swerve play given his decent record here.
  • Rory McIlroy: He can't seem to win here when Scottie is in the way, but he seems to always get close.

Current form

  • Ludvig Aberg: Ludvig just won a Signature event, and his power game should work here just like Torrey.
  • Sepp Straka: Straka loves himself some PGA National, yes, but he's been on all season.
  • Mav McNealy: McNealy has been strong throughout this season, and his consistency should work well here.
  • Russell Henley: Henley could fit in both categories here, as his Bay Hill record is definitely above average.

My pick this week is Scottie Scheffler.

2025 Puerto Rico Open One and Done picks

This was written before Novak and Stevens WD'd, then I had to switch to Vilips.

  • Andrew Novak: Novak has played well enough to win in multiple instances this season and bangs the ball hard.
  • Sam Stevens: He's going to get a lot of love this week as a guy that fits the profile of a Puerto Rico Open favorite.
  • Ryan Gerard: He's been off to a good start for a KFT grad, and I like his game a lot.
  • Karl Vilips: I love Vilips' game, and he should be an interesting longer shot in these kinds of events.

My pick this week is Karl Vilips.
