The PGA Tour this week features the 2026 Texas Children's Houston Open starting on Thursday at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas.

My PGA Tour field ranking for Texas Children's Houston Open looks at the top 10 players in this 133-player field that brings together the best in the world for the first of two Texas events before the Masters.

The Texas Children's Houston Open is an event that has drawn a decent field since moving back to spring and to Memorial Park because the Tom Doak design does challenge players tee to green, as they will see at the Masters. Scottie Scheffler leads the way here, though Min Woo Lee is defending champion.

Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top PGA Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2026 Texas Children's Houston Open rankings.

2026 Texas Children's Houston Open expert picks and rankings

1. Scottie Scheffler: The best player in the world hasn't played like it lately, but he's also going to a place where he might be able to get away with a looser driver than he'd like. (After we published this on Monday morning, Scheffler withdrew.)

2. Min Woo Lee: Min Woo has been great so far this year, and there's good reason to believe he'll put up a great fight in his title defense.

3. Brooks Koepka: Koepka made too many bogeys at Innisbrook to challenge for the title, but there was a lot of good there. Now, he plays a place he helped design with Doak.

4. Chris Gotterup: Already twice a winner this year, Gotterup's style should play well here in Houston and appeal to his strengths.

5. Marco Penge: Penge has a lot of pop in the bat, and he has contended multiple times this year on places with equally strong ballstriking demands as here.

6. Jake Knapp: Knapp's health is a concern at this point, but the results he's turned in so far this year are excellent.

7. Sam Burns: Bermuda Burns should be playing well heading into this tournament, feeling confident about his chances with a killer short game.

8. Kurt Kitayama: Kitayama can bang it with anyone on tour, and he does seem to thrive on these longer -- but not outrageously long -- courses.

9. Keith Mitchell: Cashmere Keith and his six-button shirt are in good form, and this might be an opportunity for him to take a big leap forward.

10. Michael Thorbjornsen: Thor learned the hard way about contending in big events at The Players, but hopefully he learned something from it that he can use here.
