PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.
Once again in 2025, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player must make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.

We continue our 2025 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2025 Valspar Championship, concluding at the 2025 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.
Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.
This week, we have the Valspar Championship, with the PGA Tour heading over to the Tampa area for the Snake Pit.

Not great. Hideki put himself behind the 8-ball on Thursday and couldn't dig out on Friday. That's why you don't use a top name at The Players (just as Rory plays great). The justification for Hideki was sound, but he didn't show up.
Now, we have Valspar. I love Innisbrook, and the players seem to as well. It demands a lot, especially being able to play elevation (at least for Florida) well. The field is good, and there are a fair number of horses for this course.
My one-and-done recommendations fall into one of two categories: players who are in current form and those who have great course experience.
2025 Valspar Championship One and Done picks
Course history
- Sam Burns: A two-time winner here, Burns definitely has an affinity for Innisbrook.
- Adam Hadwin: Hadwin has beenin the top 7 here twice in the last three years.
- Xander Schauffele: An 81 to finish at Sawgrass is worrisome, but he has a good record here the last three years.
- Justin Thomas: You may be tempted to use JT here because of his record, but at least consider Quail Hollow before doing that.
Current form
- Tommy Fleetwood: Fleetwood has been solid and had a good enough players to make him worth a look here.
- Sepp Straka: Again, if you haven't used Straka yet, why not now?
- Corey Conners: Conners had himself a nice week at The Players, though he barely got on coverage on Sunday.
- Akshay Bhatia: If Bhatia could have made a putt, he would have won The Players.
My pick this week is Akshay Bhatia. (Akshay WD'd, so I went with Corey Conners.)
