2025 Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches: PGA Tour one-and-done fantasy golf picks

PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.

Once again in 2025, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player must make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.

We continue our 2025 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2025 Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches, concluding at the 2025 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

This week, we have the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches, with a 144-player field taking on PGA National's Champion Course, which should be a pretty brutal test once again.

Excellent! A great week! I think we pretty much have Vidanta Vallarta nailed down at this point.

Now, we move to what feels like a completely random tournament at PGA National. With so much water in play, there is a randomness to the outcomes because high scores can happen quickly and often. But there are some horses for courses here.

My one-and-done recommendations fall into one of two categories: players who are in current form and those who have great course experience.

2025 Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches One and Done picks

Course history

  • Daniel Berger: Berger nearly won here, and he had some great finishes here before his health issues.
  • Shane Lowry: Lowry loves this place and played pretty well the last several months.
  • Sepp Straka: Straka has already won this year, and he's already won here, too.
  • Lee Hodges: Hodges has a thing for courses with lots of water in play, including here and TPC Twin Cities.

Current form

  • Denny McCarthy: Denny has a decent record here, and he got close to that first win at Torrey.
  • Sungjae Im: Im could also fit in the course history category, and he's been quite consistent.
  • Russell Henley: Henley did well at Sony and at Pebble, so that might play well here.
  • Taylor Moore: If you're looking for a somewhat random player, Moore has been strong the last month.

My pick this week is Daniel Berger.
