2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational: Expert picks, PGA Tour field rankings and fantasy golf tips

The PGA Tour this week features the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational starting on Thursday at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida.

My PGA Tour field ranking for Arnold Palmer Invitational looks at the top 10 players in this 72-player field that brings together the best in the world for the Signature event of the Florida Swing.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is what a US Open would look like if it were ever played in Florida. Bay Hill is set up with deep rough, firm and fast surfaces and meant to challenge players. It pays to be patient and get in play off the tee.

Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top PGA Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational rankings.

2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational expert picks and rankings

1. Scottie Scheffler: If Scheffler could play on Thursdays right now, he'd not have lost yet this year.

2. Rory McIlroy: McIlroy plays this course so well, and he should feel comfortable after a good defense at Pebble.

3. Tommy Fleetwood: Fleetwood is getting more respect here than anything for his consistency, though he's got a decent Bay Hill record.

4. Collin Morikawa: Morikawa should have won here last year, and he got mad when he didn't. Is he still mad about it?

5. Matt Fitzpatrick: Fitz is one of the best horse-for-course plays this week.

6. Jacob Bridgeman: Bridgeman has played well here previously (T15 last year), and he's obviously riding high.

7. Hideki Matsuyama: Matsuyama has been tremendous pretty much all year.

8. Chris Gotterup: Gotterup MC'd at Riviera, but I don't really take him for a California golf guy. No Bay Hill experience.

9. Justin Rose: Rose is in here because of his overall experience at Bay Hill, but Jake Knapp would be in here for his play this year.

10. Shane Lowry: Lowry has been close to winning twice this year, so the game is there, but he's just not quite closing them out.
