2025 Tour Championship: Expert picks, PGA Tour field rankings and fantasy golf tips

The PGA Tour this week features the 2025 Tour Championship starting on Thursday at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.

My PGA Tour field ranking for Tour Championship looks at the top 10 players in this 30-player field that brings together the best in the world for the final leg of PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs.

The Tour Championship is back and the top 30 in the points standings compete in the final leg of the playoffs -- playing in a normal, 72-hole golf tournament now without any starting strokes. East Lake is a great challenge, and they're going to make the place tougher this year.

Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top PGA Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2025 Tour Championship rankings.

2025 Tour Championship expert picks and rankings

1. Scottie Scheffler: Are you betting against this guy anywhere? He's the best in the world, and he just won again.

2. Rory McIlroy: McIlroy should be able to muster a decent effort this week because he's an East Lake aficionado.

3. Tommy Fleetwood: Fleetwood has been heartbreakingly close to breakthrough wins in the last three months, and he keeps soldiering on.

4. Viktor Hovland: Hovland is a 72-hole winner here, and he's been playing some solid golf.

5. Ludvig Aberg: Aberg has been putting together some great results of late, and the length here should help him.

6. JJ Spaun: Spaun probably ran out of gas at Caves Valley, so maybe he's toast, but he's enjoyed a great year.

7. Justin Thomas: JT has a penchant for this place, and he's got plenty to think about for the Ryder Cup.

8. Sam Burns: Burns hasn't been spectacular here over the years, but he's been decent, and he's in good form.

9. Patrick Cantlay: Cantlay is a horse-for-course play here this week, though I don't particularly love what he's done this season.

10. Justin Rose: Rose still has it at 45 years old, and he does seem to play decently at times at East Lake.
