The 2025 The Sentry final leaderboard is headed by winner Hideki Matsuyama, who earned his 11th-career PGA Tour win at Kapalua Resort's Plantation Course in Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii.

Matsuyama earned a huge win in the first PGA Tour event of the year and the first of eight Signature events. Matsuyama set the PGA Tour's 72-hole scoring record against par, shooting 8-under 65 in the final round to reach 35-under 257 and surpass the record, previously held by Cam Smith in this event, by a shot.

Collin Morikawa finished second in a tournament he loves but has been snakebitten in trying to win. His 32-under total left him three shots behind the champion.

Sungjae Im finished alone in third place on 29-under total, coming up just shy of getting to the 30-under club.

Matsuyama won the $3,600,000 winner's share of the $20,000,000 purse.

The Sentry recap notes

Matsuyama earned 51.9 Official World Golf Ranking points with the win in the 72-hole stroke-play championship, which helps his place in the world ranking.

Matsuyama earned 700 FedEx Cup points as a PGA Tour member, with the PGA Tour points offered at the Signature level for this event. This tournament was reserved for players who won on the PGA Tour in 2024 or finished inside the top 50 of the final FedEx Cup standings for 2024.

A total of 58 (of 60) players finished the tournament where a 36-hole cut was not made in this event. Alex Noren withdrew pre-tournament, and Davis Riley withdrew in the final round.

The 2025 2025 PGA Tour schedule continues next week with the Sony Open in Hawaii in Honolulu.
