The PGA Tour returns to Denver this week for the first time since the FedEx Cup was introduced in 2007 with the playing of the BMW Championship at Cherry Hills near Denver. It just so happens that the Denver Broncos open up their NFL season just hours after the last putt drops.

The Broncos are officially hosting Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson at the game against the Indianapolis Colts at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, according to the Denver Post.

NBC will telecast both events.
