2026 Masters Tournament: Expert picks, PGA Tour field rankings and fantasy golf tips

The PGA Tour this week features the 2026 Masters Tournament starting on Thursday at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

My PGA Tour field ranking for Masters looks at the top 10 players in this 91-player field that brings together the best in the world for the first major of the year.

The Masters is the biggest golf tournament in the world (I know some folks would argue The Open, and that's fair), and it's certainly the most familiar major. Augusta National changes in ways big and small over time (just 10 yards added to 17 this year), but the challenge fundamentally remains the same. Hit the ball precisely, miss intelligently and please don't three-putt.

Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top PGA Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2026 Masters rankings.

2026 Masters expert picks and rankings

1. Jon Rahm: Rahm has been the best player in the world this year in terms of strokes gained. Yes, he's doing it on LIV Golf, basically playing against five other guys. That doesn't matter at his level. He's also a Masters champion.

2. Scottie Scheffler: Scheffler has won this year, and he's also been exceptionally frustrated. Now, he's dad to his second child, Remy, and that might be the reset the two-time winner needs to get a third green jacket.

3. Bryson DeChambeau: DeChambeau has won his last two starts on LIV Golf in dramatic fashion, both in playoffs. He had a sniff of the title last year.

4. Rory McIlroy: McIlroy has enjoyed a largely positive year, though he hasn't won yet. He's trying to do something just three others have ever done, to successfully defend the Masters title.

5. Matt Fitzpatrick: Fitz has a good Masters record, and that Valspar Championship win buoys the belief that he's back where he was a few years ago to win the US Open.

6. Cameron Young: Cam Young has gone T7-T3-WIN in his last three tournaments, including The Players. He's becoming a reliable closer, and his putting has dramatically improved.

7. Tommy Fleetwood: Fleetwood has four top-10 finishes in six starts this year between the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. He's been in the top 14 here twice in the last four years.

8. Collin Morikawa: Morikawa loves the Masters. He's been in the top 18 here each of the last five years, including three top-10 finishes. The question is if his back is OK.

9. Min Woo Lee: Min Woo has enjoyed a fantastic year so far, including three top-six finishes -- two of them coming in Signature events. Can the iron play hold up under pressure?

10. Ludvig Aberg: Ludvig has been close in his last two tournaments, and he's come up short in both in spectacular fashion. He needs to learn quickly how to close.
