The 2026 Valspar Championship is played this year at Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Fla.

The tournament's host course has been at the Tampa metro area club since the tournament started in 2000, and it has evolved into one of golf's cult-favorite courses.

Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course plays as a par-72 golf course, playing to a scorecard distance of 7,352 yards, making it one of the longer golf course on the PGA Tour. Four courses on the PGA Tour player under 7,000 yards, and two of them are for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

The Copperhead Course is the exact same yardage as the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, with the Larry Packard design asking a lot of the players in the field.

Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course course breakdown

Now that we know the layout of the golf course, what else makes Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course a challenge?

There is a significant elevation challenge at the Copperhead that is unexpected for Florida. Players must hit a variety of uphill and downhill approaches and tee shots to seemingly tight or invisible targets.

Players have to temper their aggression for the right moments or the water that is on the course comes into play and punishes. Bunkering around the course is particularly penal.

The final three-hole stretch has to be played in 11 shots or fewer, and that can be in any combination, to finish the job.
