The PGA Tour this week features the 2026 Valspar Championship starting on Thursday at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida.
My PGA Tour field ranking for Valspar Championship looks at the top 10 players in this 135-player field that brings together the best in the world for the biggest event on the PGA Tour calendar.
The Valspar Championship is a bit of a cult-classic tournament among PGA Tour players. Innisbrook's Copperhead Course is a good challenge for an elite player, demanding high-quality ballstriking to have a chance. Foreign-born players tend to show up here a lot, looking for a great test coming out of The Players.
Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top PGA Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2026 Valspar Championship rankings.

2026 Valspar Championship expert picks and rankings
1. Justin Thomas: JT is going to get a lot of love this week as a past winner here and having turned in a rapidly improved performance off the comeback start at Bay Hill.
2. Xander Schauffele: Schauffele got pretty close to winning The Players and was pretty clutch, despite coming up short. There's definite improvement in his game.
3. Matt Fitzpatrick: Fitzpatrick was the unfortunate runner-up to a great Cam Young performance, and getting that close to winning takes a lot out of someone.
4. Viktor Hovland: Hovland played well at The Players, and he's so far showed up well this year at the courses he has historically liked -- even if that performance doesn't always make sense.
5. Corey Conners: It's probably too high of a ranking for Conners, but the elite ballstriker should show up happy to Innisbrook based on his performance at The Players and his profile for this course.

6. Robert MacIntyre: Bobby Mac enjoyed an excellent week at The Players, and he has to feel good about his season now.
7. Akshay Bhatia: Akshay had himself a solid week at TPC, finishing T-13 coming off that win at Bay Hill. He should be able to shape his way around very well.
8. Jacob Bridgeman: The lights may have been a tad too bright for Bridgeman at The Players, but he's on a tracjectory to become an elite player.
9. Brooks Koepka: OK, OK, it's probably too soon to have him on this list, but Brooks has had two great tournaments in a row in Florida. If and when he feels totally comfortable putting again, he could win.
10. Jordan Spieth: Spieth has been playing good golf in the last month, with a couple of top-15 finishes. He was pedestrian at The Players because of two iffy rounds, but Sawgrass usually is its own monster.
