PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.
Once again in 2026, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player must make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.
We continue our 2026 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open, concluding at the 2026 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.
Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.
This week, we have the Farmers Insurance Open, with the PGA Tour moving into the San Diego area at Torrey Pines with a two-course event.

It's Farmers Insurance Open week, and the 156-player field this week is a great field on a tough host course (and a tougher secondary course than we had years ago). The South Course is a brute, and the main goal is to keep the ball in play and hit greens.
Ryan Gerard got us a great finish this past weekend, and this week, I think we can continue to look outside the top 20 in the world to keep those players available for bigger-money events.
2026 Farmers Insurance Open One and Done picks
- Ryan Gerard: If you weren't on the train for his two runners-up to start the year, maybe you reach here? I don't love it, but I get it.
- Jason Day: Day played well enough at PGA West to win, but he got Schefflered. He has a good record here.
- Xander Schauffele: Again, I would save a guy like Xander for later, but his record here is quite good.
- Will Zalatoris: I went back and forth with him or Hideki in this last spot, and I'm always weary of Zalatoris' back issues, but he played well last week and has a good Torrey history.
My pick this week is Jason Day.
