The 2025 Hero World Challenge final leaderboard is headed by winner Sami Matsuyama, who earned the PGA Tour win in the event at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas.

Matsuyama won this event to earn his second PGA Tour-sanctioned title of the year (the first event of the year and the last) in a sudden-death playoff against Alex Noren after both players finished the 72-hole, 20-player event tied on 22-under 266.

In the first and only playoff hole, Matsuyama made a birdie to defeat the Swede, who was seeking his first-career PGA Tour-sanctioned win.

Sepp Straka finished in solo third place, a shot out of the playoff.

Matsuyama won the $1,000,000 winner's share of the $6,000,000 purse.

Hero World Challenge recap notes

Matsuyama earned 30.3 Official World Golf Ranking points with the win in the 72-hole stroke-play championship, which helps his place in the world ranking.

No FedEx Cup Fall points were assigned for this event, which is considered a Challenge event and outside of the FedEx Cup schedule.

A total of 20 (of 20) players finished the tournament, where a 36-hole cut was not made in this event to the top 65 and ties.

The 2025 PGA Tour schedule has concluded, though next week is the Grant Thornton Invitational, a team-based event co-sanctioned with the LPGA in Florida.
