2025 PGA Championship: PGA Tour one-and-done fantasy golf picks

PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.

Once again in 2025, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player must make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.

We continue our 2025 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2025 PGA Championship, concluding at the 2025 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

This week, we have the PGA Championship, with the PGA Tour moving to Quail Hollow for a major championship once again.

It's PGA Championship week! Quail Hollow is back to host, and we know the kinds of guys that like it at Quail. It's kinda telling. So let's not fight it too hard.

My one-and-done recommendations fall into one of two categories: players who are in current form and those who have great course experience.

2025 PGA Championship One and Done picks

Current form

  • Sepp Straka: Straka just notched the biggest win of his career, but the game should carry over to Quail Hollow.
  • Shane Lowry: Everyone knows I'm a big Lowry mark at this point, but he loves the tough courses for ballstrikers.
  • Keith Mitchell: Mitchell is the FRL king of 2025, but he finished T-7 at the Truist, so maybe he's playing all four rounds now.
  • Collin Morikawa: OK, it didn't work out at the Masters, but the guy is playing well this year.

Course history

  • Rory McIlroy: If you haven't heard, Rory loves this place.
  • Max Homa: Homa is starting to find some things to like in his game, but this would be an enormous reach.
  • Taylor Pendrith: He finished T-10 here in the Wells Fargo last year, but he is coming off a bad week.
  • Justin Thomas: Thomas won a PGA here, loves the course and just finished T-2 at Philly Cricket.

My pick this week is Justin Thomas.
