The PGA Tour this week features the 2025 Travelers Championship starting on Thursday at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.
My PGA Tour field ranking for Travelers Championship looks at the top 10 players in this 72-player field that brings together the best in the world for the final Signature event of the season.
The Travelers Championship is back, and this is a go-low tournament that still offers an interesting challenge for the players this week. It's a total turnabout from the test of the US Open at Oakmont.
Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top PGA Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2025 Travelers Championship rankings.
2025 Travelers Championship expert picks and rankings
1. Scottie Scheffler: Scheffler is clearly the best player on the planet, hits it a mile and contends in practically every tournament.
2. JJ Spaun: Spaun is totally gassed after winning the US Open, no doubt. This is more of a marker of respect for what he just accomplished to get into the top 10 in the world.
3. Patrick Cantlay: Cantlay is the horse-for-course pick of choice this week, and you have to put aside another clunker of a major to consider him this week.
4. Rory McIlroy: McIlroy has been off for more than a month, and it seems like he's been lacking in motivation. But now he's on the road to the Open in his home country, so maybe it picks up here.
5. Sam Burns: Burns is one of the top putters on the PGA Tour and put on a ballstriking clinic for a lot of the week at Oakmont.

6. Robert MacIntyre: Bobby Mac almost had a US Open title, and his tremendous driving and iron play should do well at TPC River Highlands.
7. Sepp Straka: Straka's game does line up well with a place like TPC River Highlands, so the two-time 2025 winner should be comfortable.
8. Ben Griffin: People didn't pay as much attention to Ben Griffin this past week at Oakmont, but he was excellent for a lot of it.
9. Collin Morikawa: I'm honestly not sure where to put Morikawa this week, but one of the best ballstrikers on Tour should be able to do well this week.
10. Xander Schauffele: Schauffele just isn't quite to the same level as 2024, and that's clear, but he also likes this tournament quite a bit.
