Ryan Fox is one of the last players in the field at the 2025 US Open, which starts on Thursday at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.

The USGA, which presents the third men's major of the year, rounded out the US Open field on Monday after the completion of the weekend's events. With his playoff win in the RBC Canadian Open, Fox jumped to No. 32 in the Official World Golf Ranking, which got him into the tournament because he jumped into the world's top 60 players. Cameron Young (No. 56) and Bud Cauley (No. 58) also got into the field of 156 based on jumping into the OWGR top 60 after the cut-off event.

All told, 87 golfers are fully exempt into the 2025 US Open, including Michael La Sasso, who won the NCAA Division I Championship. Matthew Jordan also got into the field when he replaced Sahith Theegala, who withdrew with back issues on June 6.

Since Young and Cauley both got through US Open final qualifying in Columbus, Ohio, their qualifying spots instead become available.

The USGA also held six spots open through the RBC Canadian Open to go to players who could potentially become exempt through other criteria, including the OWGR top-60 cutoff. Five alternates from final qualifying were added to the field to round out those spots, with Takumi Kanaya, Doug Ghim, Chase Johnson, Eric Cole and Riki Kawamoto gaining entry to the event.

The US Open alternate list will now be updated to reflect priority order of alternates from the 13 final qualifying sites.
