Tony Romo withdraws from 2019 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Tony Romo has withdrawn from the 2019 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Saturday, citing a commitment at home as the reason he couldn't play in the third round.

Romo, who is a scratch player, was playing alongside Jim Furyk in the pro-am competition, had some highlight shots in his second round that the duo played at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback stuffed a shot hit from the carpet of a hospitality tent close on the 15th hole, then hit a chip shot from an awkward angle on the 17th green to near gimme range.

Romo will be replaced in the third round of the competition by Trent Newby, who you should probably Google.

After the third round, the top 25 (no ties) pro-am teams will move on to the final round at Pebble Beach Golf Links on Sunday.
