There's a first time for everything, and Javier Colomo made a European Tour first on Friday at the AfrAsia Mauritius Open, as Colomo made the first par-4 hole-in-one in Tour history.
Colomo made the ace, which goes down as an albatross, on the 334-yard ninth hole, his last of the round, at Heritage G.C. The albatross was huge for the Spaniard as he shot 2-under 69 to make the cut by a couple of shots.
There has only been one par-4 hole-in-one in PGA Tour history, with Andrew Magee making a very lucky albatross on the 17th hole at TPC Scottsdale in the 2001 Waste Management Phoenix Open. However, earlier this year, Aaron Baddeley made a hole-in-three on a par 4 during the Valero Texas Open.
