Monday qualifiers: 2015 Shell Houston Open

It could be argued that the Monday qualifier for the Shell Houston Open is the most important of the year. While the odds are long to win the final PGA Tour event before the Masters and earn an 11th-hour invite to Augusta National, there's still a chance.

Cypresswood G.C.'s Tradition course hosted the four-spot, with Austin Cook and Kelvin Day each shooting 8-under 64 to share medalist honors among the 131 players who finished the 18-hole event.

Then there was a four-for-two playoff to secure the other two spots. Andrew Landry, Smylie Kaufman, Tain Lee and Michael Kim all shot 65, but Landry and Kaufman were the two to move on to the Golf Club of Houston for the Shell Houston Open.

Austin Cook, the 24-year-old Arkansas product who turned pro in 2013, made the most of his one PGA Tour start last season, finishing T-13 at the FedEx St. Jude Classic.

Englishman Kelvin Day has made the cut in four of six Web.com Tour starts this season, including a T-17 finish at the Colombia Championship.

Andrew Landry is having a great March. Also a product of the Razorbacks program like Cook, Landry won his first Web.com Tour title at the Karibana Championship in Colombia.

Smylie Kaufman, who graduated from LSU last year, finished fourth last week in the Web.com Tour's Louisiana Open.
