Tommy Morissey is a special little boy. Born without his right arm under the elbow, the three-year-old has taken to golf and hits the ball better than plenty of adults do with two hands.
Since a Philadelphia-area TV station chronicled Morissey's talent and love for the game, golf has embraced him equally. Morissey and his family were invited to the World Para Long Drive Championships this week in Mesquite, Nev., just ahead of the finals of the World Long Drive Championship, which begins in Mesquite and ends in a few weeks in Las Vegas.
Morissey was part of an exhibition demonstrating the amazing skills of an array of golfers. As part of the exhibition, Morissey was challenged to hit a golf ball off a tee in the moth of Andre Carrier, COO of Eureka casino in Mesquite (wonderful hosts to GNN in a 2012 trip). Credit both Morissey for pulling off the stunt and Carrier for volunteering.
