Welcome to the latest installment of the Wozzilroy Chronicles, charting what on Earth is happening between Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki.
To catch you up from the last episode:
- The Irish Independent reported last week that McIlroy and Wozniacki had split, the second such report from the paper in a two-month stretch
- Caroline Wozniacki spoke to a Danish newspaper, strongly denying the couple had split, angry with a press desperate to write their obituary
- Rory McIlroy, while in Korea for this week's OneAsia Tour event (where he finished a season-best T-2), responded to questions on the subject by saying he'd like to keep his private life private.
So, that brings us to Sunday. McIlroy finished second in the Kolon Korea Open, tying his best result of the year with the Valero Texas Open in April. Wozniacki won in Luxembourg for her first tournament win since taking the WTA title in Moscow last October.
How did McIlroy respond? As any good boyfriend -- or friend that's a boy -- would do: with a congratulatory tweet.
