Ben Martin wins United Leasing title in Monday playoff

Sometimes, it's good to have a case of the Mondays.

Ben Martin won his first Web.com Tour title on Monday, defeating three other players in the first hole of a sudden-death playoff for the United Leasing Championship.

The playoff was postponed to Monday due to four hours' worth of rain delays on Sunday that precluded Martin, Ashley Hall, Billy Martin III and Joe Affrunti from getting the playoff in after the final round was completed at Victoria National Golf Club in Indiana.

In the only hole played Monday, Martin found the fairway with his tee shot, while Hall and Hurley found a water hazard and Affrunti was in the rough.

Martin made his par, sealed the win and moved up nine places on the Web.com Tour money list to 21st. The top 25 players at the end of the tour's regular season will be assured PGA Tour status in 2013.
