American Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III has made his four wild-card picks to round out the dozen men heading to Medinah at the end of the month.

Love appointed Dustin Johnson, Jim Furyk, Brandt Snedeker and Steve Stricker at the NASDAQ market site on Tuesday morning.

Left off the team are the likes of two-time winner this season Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler and The Barclays winner Bo Van Pelt.

These four players join the eight automatic qualifiers - Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jason Dufner, Webb Simpson, Bubba Watson, Keegan Bradley, Matt Kuchar and Zach Johnson - who earned their spot based on the points list which closed at the conclusion of the PGA Championship on Kiawah Island.

Johnson will be playing in his second Ryder Cup, looking to improve upon a poor rookie record at Celtic Manor in 2010 where he went 1-3-0.

Snedeker will be making his first appearance, while Furyk will be making his eighth. While his Ryder Cup record is poor (8-15-4), Furyk did go 5-0-0 in last fall's Presidents Cup.

Stricker, who will likely be teamed with Tiger Woods in two-man matches, is 3-3-1 as a part of the last two Ryder Cup teams.
