In search of the form that once had him ranked as highly as No. 3 in the Official World Golf Ranking, Paul Casey will be playing predominantly on the European Tour next season.
“I’ll be playing mainly on the European Tour (in 2013) and the aim is to get back into the winner’s circle,” the 35-year-old Englishman told the European Tour's website.
Casey missed the first two-and-a-half months of 2012 because of a dislocated shoulder he suffered in an off-season snowboarding accident. The season prior, Casey was sidelined with a nagging turf toe injury.
Now ranked No. 104 in the world, Casey has managed to play just nine times this season. He finished the no-cut WGC-Cadillac Championship to start the season, then missed eight consecutive cuts in a row, including at three majors, before finally cashing 75th at the Wyndham Championship two weeks ago.
