PGA Championship: Scott hits female spectator

Adam Scott couldn't back up his first-round 68 at the PGA Championship. Instead, on Day 2 he backed up with 3-over 75.

One of the six bogeys Scott made on the day came at the par-5 seventh hole, where Scott struck a fan with his tee shot.

"I hit a lady on the seventh," he said, calling the incident unfortunate.  "She was getting some medical attention.  I hope she's going to be okay."

The spectator helped Scott, however, as the ball did not go as far right as it otherwise could have. Perhaps with a sense of gratitude and shame, Scott plans to express his feelings to the spectator.

"I'll find out if she's all right," he said. "She seemed to be okay at the time."
