2026 US Open: PGA Tour one-and-done fantasy golf picks

PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.

Once again in 2026, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player must make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.

We continue our 2026 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2026 US Open, concluding at the 2026 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

This week, we have the US Open, with the PGA Tour heading back to Shinnecock Hills for the USGA-conducted major championship, coming back to one of the toughest and best venues for the national open.

It's US Open week, and the 156-player field this week is taking on a test that will probably reach the edge of playability at some point in the week. This is a brutal venue, and even though there is more width off the tee than the prior times this championship has been here, it's still no bargain with deep, deep rough waiting.

We had a great chance going into Sunday with Wyndham Clark, but the driver let him down on Sunday. Congrats to Bud Cauley on a great win.

2026 US Open One and Done picks

  • Rory McIlroy: If you haven't used Rory yet, and you think his brand of golf works well for Shinny, then this is probably a good spot for him, though I think he'd be a great pick at Birkdale.
  • Scotte Scheffler: Scheffler can complete the Grand Slam on his 30th birthday this Sunday, if you believe in the stars aligning and such things.
  • Tommy Fleetwood: Fleetwood had a putt for 62 here in 2018, in one of the best rounds in US Open history. He's been in good form of late.
  • Xander Schauffele: Xander isn't quite as hot as he was a month or two ago, but a US Open is the major I thought he'd win first, and I still think it works for him.

My pick this week is Tommy Fleetwood.
