2026 The Players Championship: PGA Tour one-and-done fantasy golf picks

A picture of golfer Rory McIlroy

PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.

Once again in 2026, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player must make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.

We continue our 2026 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2026 The Players Championship, concluding at the 2026 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

This week, we have the The Players Championship, with the PGA Tour moving to their home base for the biggest tournament of the year on their schedule.

It's The Players Championship week, and the 123-player field this week is taking on one of the toughest challenges on Tour, as it's a course that asks lots of questions and favors no particular style of play.

We had two bites of the apple last week, and we landed in the exact same spot -- fifth place -- with both of them. Not bad!

2026 The Players Championship One and Done picks

  • Rory McIlroy: A two-time winner here, McIlroy's concern now is that back tweak that took him out of Bay Hill.
  • Collin Morikawa: Morikawa won Pebble Beach already, and he has a solid record here the last few years.
  • Si Woo Kim: Si Woo has won here, and he's been very good all year. He likes this place, and it works for him.
  • Scottie Scheffler: Scheffler was going to be my guy here early in the year, but I think we need a little more time for him (The Masters).

My pick this week (for now) is Si Woo Kim. That could change based on an update on Rory's condition.
