The 2026 The American Express continues the PGA Tour season with the event at PGA West's Stadium Course and two other courses in Palm Springs, California, welcoming 156 world-class players to the PGA Tour event.

The 2026 The American Express betting odds indicate this week's favorite is Scottie Scheffler, who comes in at 3-to-1 (+300) betting odds.

Ben Griffin is 20-to-1 this week and next best on the odds table this week.

Russell Henley, Robert MacIntyre and Ludvig Aberg are next on the board at 25-to-1 heading into the week, and the rest of the board follows for the first PGA Tour field of the year.

2026 The American Express betting picks

The American Express is the second event of the season, with the PGA Tour returning to the California desert for this unique three-course, pro-am event.

These are short golf courses by modern standards, and the weather and conditions are typically pretty close to perfect. Barring wind flaring up, the winning score is going to be in the high 20s under par.

Kurt Kitayama had a great start to the year, and he's done well in events where a lot of birdies have to be made.

J.T. Poston has a tremendous track record in this event and seems to have an affinity for desert-style golf in his career.

Nick Dunlap may seem outrageous given the penalty for poor driving in desert golf, but these courses are short, and he can take more comfortable clubs off the tee to fire in at pins.
