2025 Bank of Utah Championship expert picks and rankings
1. Kurt Kitayama: Kitayama bombs the ball off the tee and found a way to win at a tight course in TPC Twin Cities, so this place should suit him like the Mexico Open host course did.
2. Mav McNealy: McNealy has been playing pretty OK, and he was T-13 in the Procore in California what feels like two months ago, which was his last start.
3. Alex Noren: Noren is getting this ranking based on his two DP World Tour wins last month, pre-Ryder Cup. It doesn't really translate over here, but maybe it will this time.
4. Michael Thorbjornsen: Thor was third in Japan at the Baycurrent and T-13 at the Procore for a solid fall. He's gearing up toward that win.
5. Matt McCarty: The defending champion was riding a massive wave from the Korn Ferry Tour last year, but now he's more savvy and figured out how to play PGA Tour golf.

6. Davis Thompson: Thompson has been in the top 21 of both of his fall starts, and that streak goes back to the regular-season finale on the PGA Tour. He's in good form.
7. Luke Clanton: This feels like this kind of event where Clanton could do well and feel quite comfortable.
8. Sahith Theegala: Theegala has some happy personal news going on, and guys who are playing more care-free tend to play better.
9. Matt Wallace: Wallace had a really good run in Europe directly after the PGA Tour season, and he can keep it going.
10. Max Homa: This might be an early call on his comeback, but Homa is doing things that look pretty good at the moment.
