Amgen Irish Open history, results and past winners

The Amgen Irish Open is one of the most important national opens in the world, starting originally as the Irish Open and maintaining its identity on the DP World Tour schedule.

The event is considered one of the biggest tournaments in golf because it is one of the oldest national championships, and the setting for the modern event is incredible.

The tournament has not been continuously conducted since its start in 1927, stopping for World World II and not running for 21 years due in part to lack of sponsorship.

Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo and Bernhard Langer all share the tournament record with three wins each.

The Amgen Irish Open has seen an increase in prestige in recent years.
