2025 John Deere Classic: PGA Tour one-and-done fantasy golf picks

PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.

Once again in 2025, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player mUSt make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.

We continue our 2025 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2025 John Deere Classic, concluding at the 2025 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to USe players.

This week, we have the John Deere Classic, with the PGA Tour heading back to the Quad Cities for the event before heading overseas.

It's John Deere Classic week, and this is a great week to go low on the PGA Tour. TPC Deere Run offers a decent challenge, even though it also gives up very low scores. The field is decent overall, but it's very good for this event.

We've had two good ones in a row, with Harry Hall having himself a nice week.

2025 John Deere Classic One and Done picks

  • Denny McCarthy: McCarthy has been in the top eight here in each of the last three years, and he's playing well enough to win here.
  • Michael Thorbjornsen: He finished runner-up here last year, and he played really well in Detroit, and he seems to be onto something.
  • Lucas Glover: If you're thinking about an older horse-for-course, which is an idea that has done well here in the past, then Glover is your guy.
  • Ben Griffin: Griffin was fifth here last year, and he has evolved tremendously as a player in the 12 months since.

My pick this week is Denny McCarthy.
