2025 US Open: PGA Tour one-and-done fantasy golf picks

PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.

Once again in 2025, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player mUSt make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.

We continue our 2025 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2025 US Open, concluding at the 2025 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to USe players.

This week, we have the US Open, with the USGA once again bringing the event to Oakmont in western Pennsylvania.

It's US Open week, and this pretty much feels like a Scottie Scheffler vs. the field kind-of tournament. It won't be, but it's tough to fight that temptation. Fortunately (or, really, unfortunately) I used Scheffler already.

It was a tough week to predict because we see Oakmont so rarely, but length and power are most likely the biggest factors in your first pass, then some accuracy in your second pass.

My one-and-done recommendations fall into one of two categories: players who are in current form and those who have great course experience.

2025 US Open One and Done picks

Current form

  • Scottie Scheffler: You should pick Scottie if you have him available.
  • Bryson DeChmabeau: With a game tailor-made for the US Open, the defending champion and two-time winner has to be on your radar.
  • Shane Lowry: Lowry loves the tough courses and the difficult majors, and this place should speak to him.
  • Taylor Pendrith: A beast who hits the ball far and played pretty well in his national open.
  • Corey Conners: Conners is shockingly high on the list of strokes-gained off-the-tee, and we know he can strike the ball.

My pick this week is Bryson DeChambeau.
