2025 The CJ Cup Byron Nelson: PGA Tour one-and-done fantasy golf picks

PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.

Once again in 2025, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player must make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.

We continue our 2025 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2025 The CJ Cup Byron Nelson, concluding at the 2025 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

This week, we have the The CJ Cup Byron Nelson, with the PGA Tour moving to Texas in the Dallas area.

We didn't make picks for the Zurich because I wasn't in a league this year with that component to it, but it was a wild tournament with a somewhat predictable outcome -- that's basically the team version of the Zurich in a nutshell.

This week, we're back at TPC Craig Ranch, which is wide open and rewards long-hitting players with a good putting week. It's not a specatcular course, but it opens the door to a variety of long-shot winners.

My one-and-done recommendations fall into one of two categories: players who are in current form and those who have great course experience.

2025 The CJ Cup Byron Nelson One and Done picks

Course history

  • Si Woo Kim: Kim has been in the top 15 here twice in the last couple of years, and this kind of places lines up with his game.
  • Byeong Hun An: An has also been in the top 15 in the prior two years, and his ballstriking kind of plays anywhere.
  • Jordan Spieth: Spieth actually plays well here even though his distance is working against him a bit.
  • Kevin Tway: Tway is a really interesting case in that he doesn't have great status but plays well here.

Current form

  • Scottie Scheffler: Scheffler is the world No. 1, so, yeah, he's good.
  • Jake Knapp: Knapp played well in NOLA last week, and he almost pulled out the win with Frankie Capan III.
  • Stephan Jaeger: Jaeger has been playing well for a while, and his length is a big asset here.
  • Michael Thorbjornsen: Thorbjornsen has a Texas connection, and he was close at the Puntacana event.

My pick this week is Si Woo Kim.
