The 2025 Valero Texas Open purse is set for $9.5 million, with the winner's share coming in at $1,710,000 -- not the standard 18 percent payout according to the PGA Tour's prize money distribution chart.

The 2025 Valero Texas Open field is headed by Tommy Fleetwood, Ludvig Aberg, Hideki Matsuyama and more of the world's best players.

The 152-player field competes in the latest event of the year, with the event played at the San Antonio resort.

A cut is made after 36 holes to the top 65 players and ties at the halfway point. All players who finish four rounds of the tournament will earn money.

The prize-money payout is typically based on exactly 65 players making the cut and finishing the tournament. When more than 65 pros make the cut, the purse is increased to make sure every player is paid.
