2019 WGC-HSBC Champions purse, winner’s share, prize money payout

The 2019 WGC-HSBC Champions purse is set for $10.25 million, with the winner's share coming in at $1,745,000 -- different from the standard 18 percent payout according to the PGA Tour's prize money distribution chart.

The WGC-HSBC Champions field is headed by Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Francesco Molinari and more. There are 78 players in the field, with no cut, meaning most finishers will earn less than normal relative to the standard PGA Tour payout.

The event is played this year at Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai, China.

This is the final World Golf Championships event of the year on the PGA Tour. These events are co-sanctioned by a group of affiliated tours, including the European Tour, Sunshine Tour, Asian Tour, Japan Golf Tour and the Australasian PGA Tour.

As such, these events are not considered exclusive PGA Tour events. Money earned in these events applies to official earnings on many tours in the federation.

The WGC-HSBC Champions winner earns 550 FedEx Cup points, compared to the 500 typically awarded for regular PGA Tour events. However, the winner of the tournament earns a three-season exemption on the PGA Tour and is exempt for the remainder of the current season. The victory also gets players into a variety of invitational events.

World Golf Championships winners into the Masters. The winner also does get into the Sentry Tournament of Champions, The Players Championship and the PGA Championship.
