2019 British Open Championship field: Players, rankings and how to qualify

The 2019 British Open Championship field is getting closer to set with the final deadline to make the field already passed. The year's final major is played at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland.

There will be 156 players in the competition, and the R&A offers a variety of criteria to get into the field.

Among those entering the field include Dustin Johnson, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Thomas and defending champion Francesco Molinari.
