2016 U.S. Amateur final leaderboard and results

The 2016 U.S. Amateur champion is Curtis Luck of Australia, beating 19-year-old American Brad Dalke by a 6 and 4 count in the 36-hole finale on the South Course at Oakland Hills Country Club, just outside of Detroit, Mich.

The 20-year-old Luck is the third Aussie to win the Havemeyer Trophy, joining Walter J. Travis (1900, 1901, 1903) and Nick Flanagan (2003), which Luck will get to keep for a year.

Luck and Dalke were all square through the morning 18 holes of the match, but Luck then went on a tear in the afternoon session, winning eight consecutive holes in a U.S. Amateur record streak after losing the 19th hole to basically put the match on ice.
