The Valero Texas Open is a culmination of the two-week Texas run-up to the Masters. We have about 15 of the world top 50 this week, particularly with Hideki Matsuyama and Tommy Fleetwood competing.
TPC San Antonio is an interesting venue, being a Greg Norman design that offers plenty of room to play in other places and very little in others. The greens are really the trick here, with plenty of land movement off the tee.

1. Ludvig Aberg: Ludvig is probably the play here given his length and ability to play in the wind, but there are other decent options. (Also, do you actually want to win this week?)
2. Keegan Bradley: This is more of an intuition than anything to place him above Hideki, but I do like the way he's been playing, and he has a decent finish here.
3. Hideki Matsuyama: We might be giving Hideki too much credit here. After the season-opening win, it's been kind of mediocre against that high standard.
4. Corey Conners: Conners is a two-time champion here, played well at The Players and loves the place.
5. Tommy Fleetwood: Fleetwood doesn't win in America, so it's really hard to rank him higher than this, but he's been playing really well.

6. Patrick Cantlay: Patty Ice playing here is a little surprising, but it is the kind of course he should like.
7. Akshay Bhatia: Akshay probably should have won The Players, and he probably should have won here much more easily last year.
8. Bud Cauley: Cauley is worth a mention here, as he has everything to play for and has been excellent in the Florida Swing.
9. Denny McCarthy: A blistering comeback last year got him into a playoff, and he's been fantastic for the last couple of months.
10. Keith Mitchell: Mitchell is absolutely worth a look this week, as he's been playing fabulous golf for a while now, somewhat out of view.
