The PGA Tour this week has two events, with the 2025 Puerto Rico Open starting on Thursday at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Puerto Rico.

We also have the Puerto Rico Open as our oppo event, with a field of 120 players taking on Bay Hill in the Signature event in Orlando.

My PGA Tour field ranking for the Puerto Rico Open looks at the top 10 players in this 120-player field that brings together the PGA Tour's top 50 from last season, as well as winners and other high-performing players from this young season.

The Puerto Rico Open is the opposite event of the Florida Swing, and everyone who doesn't get into API considers playing here (after the Seminole Pro-Member).

Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top PGA Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2025 Puerto Rico Open rankings.

2025 Puerto Rico Open expert picks and rankings

1. Adam Schenk: Of the players in this field, very few beyond Schenk have gotten to a Tour Championship, and he's off to a solid start this year.

2. Brice Garnett: Garnett is the defending champion here, and he's unfortuantely having to defend, but his record here is good.

3. Ryan Gerard: I'm a big fan of Gerard's game, and he's acquitted himself very well this year.

4. Taylor Montgomery: He's on a major medical, and he played well at PGA National, so why not keep it going?

5. Lanto Griffin: It's been a good comeback year-ish for Griffin, and it'd be great to see him do well this week.

6. Thriston Lawrence: The South African can play well on the DP World Tour, but it might take some time to translate to stronger PGA Tour fields.

7. Matt Wallace: Wallace has won on the Tour in an oppo-field event, so he knows exactly what it takes.

8. Matti Schmid: Some shoddy models have Schmid often higher than he should be, but he was T-10 here last year and can clean up on these kinds of courses.

9. Niklas Norgaard: I like his game a lot, and I think it can translate very well to the Tour given some time.

10. Alejandro Tosti: I love watching Tosti play, and he'll bomb it this week and get all fired up.
