PGA Tour one-and-done is perhaps the best fantasy golf game, with season-long leagues that give players a chance to pick one player for each tournament in the league season.
Once again in 2025, we offer weekly PGA Tour one-and-done golf picks for leagues of all kinds, including survivor leagues where the selected player must make the cut for the entry to continue to the next tournament.
We continue our 2025 PGA Tour one-and-done picks with the 2025 Sony Open in Hawaii, concluding at the 2025 Tour Championship, keeping track of our picks all along the way.
Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.
This week, we have the Sony Open in Hawaii, which is the first full-field event of the year on the PGA Tour. The 144-player field takes on Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, which couldn't be more different than Kapalua for two courses in the same state. Waialae is short and fairly tight all around, turning into a ball-striking contest.

Waialae is a Seth Raynor, and there's a lot of strategic shotmaking -- meaning less than driver -- on the course because of setting up second shots and pitfalls like internal out of bounds. Mid-length guys seem to do their best work here because they're not forced to dial it back quite as much as longer hitters.
My one-and-done recommendations fall into one of two categories: players who are in current form and those who have great course experience. This week, I won't talk about current form because almost all of these players have played once or fewer in the last month. As the season gets going, though, that current form category will be probably more important than course history.
Last week, I outsmarted myself a bit. Patrick Cantlay turned out to have a decent finish, but I literally should have copied-and-pasted my article about the 2024 Sentry and gone with Collin Morikawa again.
2025 The Sentry One and Done picks
Course history
- Byeong Hun An: Ben lost in a playoff here last year and was T-12 the year prior. He's playing the best golf of his career.
- Keegan Bradley: Cap has been T-12 here twice and a playoff runner-up in the last five years.
- Corey Conners: The Canadian has been in the top 12 here three times in the last five years, so he's got history.
- Russell Henley: Henley is one of the better horse-for-course plays this week, and Waialae winners tend to play Kapalua the week prior.
My pick this week is Keegan Bradley.
