FootJoy’s Contour and Contour Casual shoes put comfort first in a street-style shoe

Of the (far too) many pairs of golf shoes I've worn over the years, I've saved a number of pairs to keep in the rotation. They're either that comfortable, offer that much traction or just have something special about them that makes them indispensable.

One of those pairs is a FootJoy Contour casual style. The shoes look dressy enough to work at any club or course I play, and they're incredibly comfortable. The spikeless model offers enough traction in most conditions to be a great all-around shoe.

Now the company is refining its Contour line with a pair of offerings designed to lead with comfort without sacrificing performance.

The line features the Contour as a cleated shoe and the Contour Casual as the spikeless option. They were built using the Contour last similar to what's found in many sneakers, bringing in a more contemporary, sporty look than the previous generation.

The new cup-designed ERGO sole is designed to be as durable as it is comfortable, with a wedge-shaped EVA insert in the outsole to take out mass while retaining comfort and support. The FitBed is offers underfoot cushioning. The upper is made from NappaLuxe leather and comes with a one-year waterproof guarantee. The spiked Contour model uses Pulsar LP spikes from Softspikes.

The Contour model is available for $130 in white, black, navy and grey colorways, as well for $160 in a Boa model in black. The Contour Casual is $120 with charcoal, navy, taupe and brown options.
