The next generation of Bob Vokey wedges are here, with the SM7 wedges are now finding their way quickly into bags of PGA Tour players at the 2017 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

The Las Vegas PGA Tour stop is typically a good one for seeding and releasing new equipment for tour players heading into the final three official PGA Tour events of the calendar year. The Titleist folks aren't saying much about the difference between the SM6 and SM7 wedges, though you could imagine the offering of a new grind, some improved technique in making grooves and milling on the face in between grooves to impart more spin.

It would seem the progressive center of gravity would remain from the SM6s, though there may be some movement in the shaping of the toe.

As you might imagine, this product will probably come out in January or so (completing a two-year cycle) with some more information around the PGA Merchandise Show or just beforehand.
