2017 BMW Championship expert picks, rankings, fantasy golf and betting tips

Looking for 2017 BMW Championship picks, either for betting or fantasy golf games like DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo, Golf Channel or the PGA Tour?

We have your 2017 BMW Championship rankings and expert picks, as we do each week of the PGA Tour season.

The playoffs are here! We've had two barnburner playoff events at The Northern Trust and the Dell Technologies Championship. Now, after a week off, we head to Chicagoland for the BMW Championship at Conway Farms. This has been a fun host for the top 70 in odd-numbered years.

For those new to our weekly picks, we offer our top 10 players for free. GNN Plus members get additional analysis and research otherwise hidden to the general public, and that's in addition to access to a searchable database of PGA Tour results from 2011-present, top-15 PGA Tour trends and season-long DraftKings salary trends.

2017 BMW Championship rankings: Top 10 picks

1. Justin Thomas - Thomas is the best player on the planet right now, though it's darn close with Jordan Spieth. He's a closer, and he seems to get a big thrill out of these playoff events.

2. Jordan Spieth - Could easily put Spieth at No. 1 without a second thought. He's finished second in both playoff events so far. Had an ace here in 2015, and he tried to give Day a run.

3. Dustin Johnson - Johnson was a shocking fade on Monday at TPC Boston. It seemed like he was going to take it out the gate, and then he didn't. He's allowed a little slouch, but he has a great record in this event at any venue.

4. Jon Rahm - Rahm's back! Consecutive top-four finishes in the playoffs should have you rather excited.

5. Paul Casey - Great stat from Jim McCabe, now with the PGA Tour: Casey has five consecutive top-five playoff finishes. He shines this time of year.

6. Jason Day - Day wasn't as great as hoped (for my one-and-done team at least) in Norton, Mass., but he's put together some good starts of late. Won huge here in 2015.

7. Rickie Fowler - Fowler finished T-13 rather quietly at TPC Boston, but he continues racking up really solid finishes every time out. He's a rock.

8. Patrick Reed - It's almost like it's time for an American team competition or something, cause Patrick Reed is starting to play like G.D. Captain America again.

9. Louis Oosthuizen - We may be catching King Louis on the downside here based on a T-30 at TPC Boston, but you have to like where his game is overall.

10. Justin Rose - Rose has T-10 finishes in both FedEx Cup playoff events, and he seems to really like the BMW Championship (though not East Lake the following week).

My DraftKings lineup for this week:

  1. Jason Day - $9,600
  2. Paul Casey - $9,200
  3. Justin Rose - $8,500
  4. Patrick Reed - $8,000
  5. Webb Simpson - $7,700
  6. Sean O'Hair - $7,000
