TaylorMade Golf has some of the best players in the world on their staff, and those players constantly offer feedback that, in turn, helps the company design equipment for them. That feedback cycle is what, in part, produced the new P730 irons, the muscleback blades in the P700 series.
The P730 irons offer the smallest profile clubs in the line, and they deliver improvements on the Tour Preferred MB 2014 irons in two major ways:
- Better turf interaction with an improved leading edge
- More vertical moment of inertia to help with off-center hits by changing mass properties
Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose are using milled prototype versions of the P730s, while Dustin Johnson is using the forged version which will go to market.
The TaylorMade P730 irons are available Nov. 1 for $1,400 in 3-PW.
