TaylorMade Golf is getting ready to bring a new blade iron to the market, and Dustin Johnson is among the first of the company's tour staff to take the P730 irons for a test drive.
The world No. 1 was testing the P730s this week ahead of the 2017 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, where he's defending champion and looking to capture a third-consecutive World Golf Championships event played this calendar year.
Johnson and Tomo Bystedt, TaylorMade's director of iron development, tweeted images of the irons.

Bystedt said they're getting closer to dialing in these irons where they need to be for their staffers who would want to put them into play, and then ultimately making them available for a better player to put in their own bag.
The P730s look like a classic TaylorMade muscleback, removing some weight from the middle-back of the blade likely to keep weight distribution and center of gravity lower for about as much help as a classic blade can offer to a player in terms of helping the ball get upward more quickly.
