PREVIEW: FootJoy DNA Helix golf shoes

FootJoy's DNA (DryJoys Next Advancement) line of golf shoes have proven a big success since their 2014 introduction, and the latest permutation in the line is now out: the DNA Helix.

The Helix model, built on the back of Tour player feedback, offers more stability with a wider profile, particularly in the heel of the shoe.

A new NitroThinTM 3.0 TPU outsole -- made almost a quarter lighter with strategic cut-outs to improve its flexiblity -- delivers that increased stability by increasing the width between the cleat receptacles in the heel to cover more space underneath the heel. A new fitbed (where your foot goes) offers more lateral stability during the swing. A FoamCollar helps keep the golfer's foot in place in the shoe.

The midsole has a new FTF (Fine Tuned Foam) for additional comfort in each step, while premium English leather gives a classy, timeless look. The DNA Helix also carries a two-year waterproof warranty.

The DNA Helix also has a Boa System model, which allows for a custom fit on the fly with the click of a dial.

FootJoy's DNA Helix golf shoes are now available for $210 per pair in the laced model and $240 per pair with the Boa System.
