Matt Kuchar made the first hole-in-one of the 2017 Masters on Sunday, making an ace on the par-3 16th.

Kuchar slapped hands with fans around the teeing ground as the ball came back down off the slope and into the hole for the hole-in-one, which brought him to 5 under par for the Masters Tournament and on the fringes of contention at Augusta National.

Kuchar then signed the ball after retrieving it from the hole and handed it to a kid along the front of the rope line behind the green. The patrons went nuts for that as well.

This is the 19th hole-in-one on the 16th hole in Masters history and the 28th in the history of the Masters Tournament.

Kuchar went to Georgia Tech and was the low amateur in 1998 with his father on the bag.
