Toulon Design, now under the Callaway Golf umbrella, has announced it 2017 additions to its lineup of intriguing putters, including the formal release date for the Indianapolis head, which has drawn a lot of attention.
Altogether, there are five models, all named after important places to Sean Toulon or in golf history: Indianapolis, Latrobe, Columbus, Austin and Long Island. The Austin, Columbus and Long Island models are variants of a heel-toe-weighted blade-style putter, with the Latrobe being a pure blade and the Indianapolis being the X-shaped, high-MOI mallet-style model.
All five putters are milled from 303 Stainless Steel for feel, with each having a deep diamond mill face pattern designed to augement feel and roll. At the center of the face, cross-hatch grooves make a pattern designed to channel vibration for ideal sound and feel.
Each putter has interchangeable sole plate, with aluminium (350g total head weight), stainless steel (363g) and tungsten (383g) options.
There are also counterblanced options using SuperStroke's optional 25g or 50g counterbalance plugs into the butt-end of the grip.
All five 2017 Toulon Design models will be available April 14 for $400 each.
