How to watch the PGA Tour in the 30 minutes between Golf Channel, CBS coverage

It happens almost every weekend CBS has the final two rounds of the PGA Tour coverage: After Golf Channel airs its early-round coverage on Saturday and Sunday, there's an annoying 30-minute gap between the end of the Golf Channel's broadcast and when CBS picks things up at 3 p.m. Eastern.

However, we have good news. You can actually watch PGA Tour golf in that 30-minute stretch.

In 2016, the PGA Tour and CBS agreed that they would air the PGA Tour's world feed online through the PGA Tour Live streaming service. From 2:30-3 p.m. Eastern, you can go to PGA Tour Live and watch the 30-minute coverage window before CBS takes over again.

So, why is there this 30-minute gap? It's a contractual thing between the PGA Tour, Golf Channel/NBC Sports and CBS Sports so that CBS can switch in their personnel and graphics, and get ready for the broadcast. That's why there is no gap between Golf Channel coverage and weekend coverage when NBC has the PGA Tour event that week -- they're the same team and don't need to switch over.

This could all change in the next PGA Tour television agreement. For now, however, this is how to get around that missing 30 minutes each Saturday and Sunday.
